Mission Statement

Bringing comfort and relief to individuals and families with children experiencing homelessness in Broward County.

Company "Why"

The Clifford Heart Foundation was started as a tribute to our founder's late grandfather, Frank Clifford Pandy, a man after God’s Heart. He was passionate about fighting injustices, helping those in need, and leading, heart first. Since she too share his heart, she has enlisted the help of others to impact the world in positive ways, just as much as he did.

“ I firmly believe that my Papa’s heart lives on through me, the volunteers, and the work that we do.”

– Kytana Phillips

Our Founder: Kytana Phillips

Kytana Phillips founded Clifford Heart in 2020.
Kytana Phillips (she/ her) is a community activist and advocate for the unhoused and underserved populations in South Florida. She is the Founder and CEO of The Clifford Heart Foundation (“CHF”) where she provides resources for the homeless in Miami-Dade & Broward Counties. She believes in being wholly authentic and empathetic.

Kytana is an Emergency Medical Technician and often volunteers during Disney races, supporting the racers’ safety. Her work with CHF has been featured in Voyage Miami Magazine and Shoutout Miami, and she had a radio interview with Hot105.

Kytana loves being in nature, spending as much time as possible with alligators/reptiles, and bonding with her family. Her passion and dedication are a product of her upbringing, and she has committed her life to increasing equitable access to resources for all.

“The unhoused community is a community very close to my heart. They are severely misunderstood, and I want to be a bridge between them and the general population. I want to help people understand that it is so easy to become homeless, how hard it is to get out of homelessness once you’re in it, and I want to give people a boost into never being homeless again.”

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ’S

CHF views the unhoused population as humans who need our support. We are not their “saviors”; we are just a helping hand on their journey. You can learn so much about the community by volunteering and learning more about them. Through donation you can rest easy knowing that even if you may not have time to volunteer you are making a difference and your money is going directly to events that help the unhoused.

CHF is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We service Florida and the surrounding areas. We are currently fundraising to attain a permanent, commercial space to house our operations.

Clifford Heart Bucks™ will be a new type of “money” for the homeless, which can only be redeemed at an authorized Clifford Heart giving location. Learn more.

Use our Contact form to submit a request to volunteer. We will respond to your request as soon as we can. Note: we currently have a waiting list for volunteers. Please also consider a charitable, tax-deductible donation.
